PE anti-mouse TCR VĪ“4
Lymphocytes expressing Ī³/Ī“ antigen receptors constitute a minor population in lymphoid tissue but a major population within epidermal, gastrointestinal, vaginal, and uterine epithelia. Gamma/delta T cells are involved in immunological surveillance of epithelia, separating the external environment from the internal milieu.
The GL2 antibody reacts with VĪ“4 T-cell receptor (TCR) bearing T cells, which are the predominant Ī³/Ī“ T cells in the intestinal epithelium (Ī³/Ī“ IEL). The frequency of VĪ“4 TCR-bearing cells varies among inbred strains of mice.
